    SEPAC Mission Statement:

    The mission of the MERSD Special Education Parent Advisory Council is to support and sustain high quality programming and services for students with disabilities, serve as an educational and networking resource, and promote a respect for diversity and inclusiveness within the schools and community.


    1. To conduct needs assessments, collect data, provide recommendations and actively participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of MERSD’s special education programs and policies.

    2. To provide organized social and educational opportunities for families, staff, students, and community members to network, access resources and promote community outreach and communication.

    3. To partner with general education in supporting student acquisition of 21st Century skills, social-emotional learning, and preparation for independent living through innovative and inclusive instructional practices.

    SEPAC Survey Results – Fall 2015
