In the fall of 2003 a new School Building Committee was formed. Its mission was to develop an alternative to the school building plan proposed in the spring of 2003. After two years of intensive investigation, including detailed review of 18 sites in the Southern Avenue/School Street corridor, the Building Committee and School Committee selected the lowest cost plan that accommodates all current and anticipated academic and athletic programs.
