Congratulations to the following members of the Debate & Speech Team for their outstanding performance at this weekend's State Championship Tournament sponsored by the Massachusetts Forensic League:
In Poetry Reading, Iriana Rodriguez was a semifinalist--in the top 12 out of 60 competitors.
In Congressional Debate, Max Rodier, Fiona Davis, and Jacob Martz were all Finalists. Fiona was named Top Novice, and Jacob came in 6th place.
In Dramatic Performance, Jared La Fontaine was named STATE CHAMPION.
Also attending the State Tournament were Matt Corwin and Alden Burnham as well as Iriana Rodriguez and Landon Komishare in Duo Interpretation; Adrian Frattini in Group Discussion; and Maya Shnider in Prose Reading. Matt and Alden miss qualifying for the final round by one point.
The Team overall came in 11th out of 33 schools--a very impressive showing with nine entries.
